With its Software Defined Radio technology, Continental is replacing a large part of the hardware in conventional radios with intelligent software. This will allow automotive manufacturers to offer their customers modern radio entertainment at lower cost.

Continental Multi Standard Receiver Solution: One baseband processor for a scalable solution.

Simultaneous Multiple Channel Reception

Software Defined Radio can receive multiple channels simultaneously. It enables listening to different stations in the front and rear of the vehicle – without additional tuner.

Greatly Improved Reception

Pre and post demodulation as well as filtering are done digitally, thus reducing multipath interference effects.

Adaptability to New Digital Standards

Upgrading to digital broadcast standards such as HD Radio and Digital Radio Mondiale without the need or expense of additional hardware.
